As reported by MamStartup, Poznań-based company StethoMe has completed the latest financial round and raised $2.5 million. The investors include UK fund Manta Ray, Polish-Israeli TDJ Pitango Ventures and Polish funds RST Ventures For Earth, Movens VC and SpeedUp Venture Capital, as well as a private investor from Hong Kong.
StethoMe is a startup that focuses on healthcare and telemedicine. The company develops a tool that detects abnormal sounds in the respiratory system. Based on AI algorithms, the system provides automatic and remote lung and heart screening with the help of a wireless stethoscope and StethoMe application for iOS and Android.
The application is needed to be connected to the StethoMe stethoscope via Bluetooth. It will show in which places on the chest to put the device during the test. After completing the procedure, the user receives a conclusion about possible deviations, and, if necessary, a recommendation to consult a doctor. StethoMe system can be used by both patients at their homes and medical centres that provide telemedicine services.
According to the CEO and co-founder of StethoMe Wojciech Radomski, the proceeds will be used for further expansion and acquiring new customers in the European market. To date, StethoMe system is already used in France, Spain and Poland.
