Swappie is an end-to-end online marketplace for buying and selling refurbished smartphones. Co-founded in 2016 by CEO Sami Marttinen and CMO Jiri Heinonen, Swappie is aimed to refurbish iPhones to the highest standards using the latest technology and reduces environmental waste. Swappie is one of the fastest-growing startups and consumer brands in Finland and the Nordics, and their mission is to make refurbished smartphones mainstream. Swappie has raised a total of $46.8M in funding over three rounds, CrunchBase reports.

  1. Leadoo

 Leadoo is a lead-driven marketing platform that lets people level up their marketing game and exceed sales results. Most companies do excellent marketing but are struggling to convert visitors and prospects into leads. Founded in 2018 by Mikael da Costa, it is aimed to make websites convert more effectively.  Leadoo Marketing Technologies has raised a total of $3.5M in funding over 1 round, Crunchbase reports. 

  1. Aiven

Aiven is a cloud technology startup launched in January 2016 by Hannu Valtonen, Heikki Nousiainen, Mika Eloranta, and Oskari Saarenmaa. They run and manage Open Source database and backend messaging systems for its business customers around the world. Aiven has raised about $39.6M series B funding from Institutional Venture Partners with the participation from Earlybird and other investors. Aiven has raised a total of $50M in funding over three rounds, Crunchbase reports.

Robocorp is a cloud platform for robotic process automation (RPA) and open-source RPA tools. Founded in 2019 by Antti Karjalainen, Teppo Koskinen, Jouko Ahvenaine, Sampo Ahokas, the company is built on the open-source Robot Framework project, which was originally developed as an open-source software testing environment. Robocorp has raised a total of $11.6M in funding over 3 rounds, Crunchbase reports.

  1. Sensible 4

Sensible 4 is a pioneer in the autonomous driving tech pioneer. The company makes vehicle automation systems for all-year-round use, even for extreme environments. Founded in 2017 by Jussi Suomela, the company`s approach and software take self-driving where no autonomous vehicles have gone before. Its solution is based on the integration of artificial intelligence and sensor fusion. In February 2020, Sensible 4 raised $7.4M Series A funding from NordicNinja VC, backed by Japanese tech companies and ITOCHU, one of the biggest trading companies in Japan.

Mainframe Industries is a game venture with studios in Helsinki and Reyjavik. Founded in 2019 by Kjartan Emilsson andThor Gunnarsson, the company is developing an unannounced cloud-native massively multiplayer online game. Mainframe Industries has raised a total of $11.3 M in funding over two rounds, Crunchbase reports. Their latest funding worth $8.9 million was raised on Mar 19, 2020, from a Series A round. The round was led by Andreessen Horowtiz with participation from Play Ventures, Sisu Game Ventures, Maki.VC, Riot Games, and Crowberry Capital.

Ultimate.ai is the leading customer service automation platform. Founded in 2017 by Jaakko Pasanen, Markus Rautio, Reetu Kainulainen, the startup helps businesses scale their customer service with artificial intelligence.  Ultimate.ai has raised a total of $10.4M in funding over five rounds, Crunchbase reports.

Silo.AI is the biggest private AI lab in the Nordics providing world-class AI expertise and tooling for CV, NLP, and ML. Founded in 2017 by Johan Kronberg, Peter Sarlin, Tero Ojanperä, Ville Hulkko, the company wants to build a world with safe human-centric AI that frees the human mind from manual labor and empowers human creativity. The team believes that this is possible by accelerating human-machine co-operation for collective intelligence. Silo.AI has raised a total of $11.7M in funding over one round, Crunchbase reports.
