Tallinn-based R8tech, a digital building operator, has raised $1 million from new investors, EU.Startups reports. R8 Technologies is a company that’s focused on decreasing energy consumption in commercial properties.

Established in 2017 by Siim Täkker, Imre-Gustav Vellama, Ahmet Köse, and Imre Purret, R8tech provides a digital building operator platform for automating the management of heating and air conditioning systems in commercial properties. R8tech’s technology results in energy savings between 10–20% per property while maintaining high air quality indoors.

To date, the startup is active in the EU, including Portugal, Finland, Austria, Netherlands, and Poland, and it plans to use the funding to take it further into new markets.
