AIN.TECH selected Finnish startups that raised the largest investments in 2020.

Kodit.io, $115 million

Kodit.io, an AI-powered residential real estate data platform, has raised $115 million in a combination of equity and debt. The round was led by the leading real estate investment company in the Nordic countries – NREP. 

Kodit.io is a proptech startup and the leading iBuyer in Europe providing instant offers for apartment owners. 

ICEYE, $87 million

ICEYE, a SpaceTech startup, has raised an $87 million Series C round of funding. The round was led by True Ventures.

ICEYE is a world-leading SAR data provider. The company is building and operating its own commercial constellation of radar imaging satellites, with SAR data available to global customers since 2018.

Varjo, $54 million

Varjo, an advanced industrial-grade VR/XR, has closed a Series C round worth about $54 million. The investors in this round include existing investors Lifeline Ventures, Atomico, EQT Ventures, and Volvo Cars Tech Fund as well as the new ones, such as Tesi, NordicNinja, and Swisscanto Invest by Zürcher Kantonalbank.

Varjo is creating the world’s most advanced VR/XR hardware and software for industrial use, merging the real and virtual worlds seamlessly together in human-eye resolution.

Supermetrics, $47 million

Supermetrics, the data management and analysis tool for marketers, has raised $47 million in new funding round. The round was led by Highland Europe with participation from IVP, Amit Agarwal, chief product officer at Datadog, and Ilkka Paananen, chief executive of Supercell.

Supermetrics is a SaaS tool, that pulls data from various sources to use for web analytics, social media, and online marketing.

IQM Quantum Computers, $45 million

IQM Quantum Computers has raised $45 million in Series A funding. The round was led by MIG Fonds with participation from all existing investors including Tesi, OpenOcean, Maki.vc, Vito Ventures, Matadero QED, and some new investors such as Vsquared, Salvia GmbH, Santo Venture Capital GmbH, and Tencent.

IQM delivers on-premises quantum computers for research laboratories and supercomputing centers and provides complete access to its hardware.

Swappie, $42.3M

Swappie has closed a $42.3M Series B funding round. Backers in the round included TESI, Lifeline Ventures, Reaktor Ventures, and Inventure. 

Swappie is aimed to refurbish iPhones to the highest standards using the latest technology and reduces environmental waste.
