Warsaw-based startup HiPets has closed its second pre-seed round and raised more than $720,000 from SMOK Ventures, Next Road Ventures, and business angels including Amadeusz Król, co-owner of the Petstar group, MamStartup reports.

Launched in 2020, HiPets is a marketplace that connects pet owners and pet-related services providers. The platform allows booking appointments with professionals such as veterinarians, behaviorists or groomers, as well as to communicate with them.

As the co-founder and CEO of HiPets Dorota Rymaszewska told, the startup’s solution is aimed to make the life of pet owners easier and encourage people, who doubt whether to adopt or buy a pet, not to be afraid of possible problems.

HiPets plans to continue developing the booking services in the nearest future. In the longer term, the startup wants to enter the pet sitting market and implement such products in Poland.
