Scalarr, a Ukrainian company that develops an ML-based fraud detection tool, has raised $7.5 million in Series A round, as reported by TechCrunch.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) was the lead investor. TMT Investments, OTB Ventures, and Speedinvest also participated in the round.
The company plans to spend the money to expand its presence in Asia, as well as continue the product development.
Scalarr is a Ukrainian SaaS company founded in 2016. Its founders are Inna Ushakova and Yuriy Yashunin, who previously ran the mobile marketing agency Zenna. The company works on a tool for app developers and marketers that detects fraudulent schemes at all stages of an advertising campaign.
Scalarr employs over 35 people and has offices in Wilmington, San Francisco, Kharkiv, and Kyiv. Its clients include MobilityWare, DraftKings, Joom, Goodgame Studios, BigFish, Pixonic, and Zimad.
