Warsaw-based developer of a support platform for machine learning engineers Neptune.ai has closed an $8 million Series A funding round. The leading investor is Almaz Capital, existing ones btov Partners, Rheingau Founders, and TDJ Pitango also participated, MamStartup informs.
- Founded in 2017 by Piotr Niedźwiedz, Neptune.ai was created by a team of machine learning engineers from deepsense.ai. The platform is a metadata repository built to help research and production teams to manage machine learning experiments.
- Neptune.ai facilitates the work of 20,000 machine learning engineers and data science specialists. It currently has over 100 clients using the platform, including Roche, The New Yorker, NNAISENSE, InstaDeep, and Polish startup Brainly.
- In 2020, Neptune.ai raised a $3 million Series A investment. In 2018, the startup closed a $1.7 million seed round. According to Crunchbase, it has raised $12.7 million in total.
- The fresh funds will help Neptune.ai develop its platform and accelerate international expansion. Also, the startup is planning to double its team of 30 specialists.
