The Sofia-based healthtech company Healee announced the completion of a $2 million seed round to fund its US expansion and telehealth technology development. The round was led by Nina Capital.
- Founded in 2016 by Hristo Kosev and Josif Dishliev, Healee develops a platform that provides telehealth services to improve health outcomes for patients and support healthcare organizations digitalization.
- In 2021, the startup refocused from B2C to B2B to provide some form of telehealth, digital check-in and scheduling to other startups and hospitals without the need to develop their own healthcare platform. Currently, the company provides its services to over 4500 physicians, 150 clinics, and around 600,000 patients.

- The fresh seed round was led by Nina Capital, with the participation of Calm/Storm Ventures, KAYA VC, and existing investor Eleven Ventures. Nina Capital is the Barcelona-based capital firm investing in healthcare systems and technologies.
- Healee will spend the fresh funding to develop the technologies, to expand the US market and to empower digital health models.
