The Tallinn-based venture fund Trind VC has closed its €55 million second fund to back European startups. The new fund will support 30-40 consumer and SME-focused companies, Tech.eu reports.

  • Trind VC started investing in 1999. It is one of the oldest venture capitalists in the country. The firm primarily invests in companies with B2C and C2C business models, alongside consumerised B2B software.

“Our investment thesis is quite simple. We are looking for startups with clear traction from a big enough market. We are using the data for both when making our investment decisions, more importantly in developing the companies,“

Joel Aasmäe, managing partner at Trind VC, explains the fund.

Earlier, Trind VC invested in companies like the Estonian agtech eAgronom and Finnish talent acquisition startup Jobilla. AIN.Capital included the fund in its Top 15 most active Baltic VC funds ranking under the ninth position.
