The Poland-based startup Urvis.Bike has raised €410,000 (2 million PLN) in a fresh funding to rent electric cargo bikes. The capital acquired by the startup comes from several business angels in Poland, MamStartup reports.
- Founded in 2020 by Paweł Raja and Przemek Żebrowski, Urvis is a company providing one stop solution for last mile delivery. It offers e-cargo bikes as a service, which works on a monthly-payment subscription model. The bikes also come with individual customization, management software, full guarantee, and maintenance within.
- According to the company, e-cargo bikes deliver 60% faster in urban centers and cut emissions by 90% compared to diesel vans. In total, there are over 20 Urvis.Bike transport bikes on the streets of Polish cities and in Berlin right now.
- Several Polish business angels backed the startup this round. The list includes the names like Andrzej Sykulski, Adam Smorawiński, Michał Kwiatkowski, and Łukasz Adziński, as well as many others.
- This is a second investment round for Urvis.Bike. A year ago, the company raised €205,000 (1 million PLN) from the ASI Podlasie fund managed by Bitspiration Booster.
- The company will use the fresh funding to increase sales and start working on new models. Urvis.Bike also wants to reach the target of 50 e-cargo bikes on the streets.
