Finnish technology company Normet has acquired the Tampere-based startup Remion Ltd, that designs and implements industrial internet service solutions. The deal was closed in February 2023 without disclosing any financial details.
- Founded in 2001, Remion offers innovative IoT solutions and services for various industries, machine and equipment manufacturers, service companies, and development organizations that are fundamental to efficient, forward-thinking operations.
- Remion claims that its solutions increase productivity, create competitive advantage, and cost savings. Among the customers are MacGregor, Sandvik, Epec, TechVilla, and others.
- Normet offers continuous improvement to underground construction and mining processes for increased safety, productivity, and profitability. The company has delivered over 14,000 built-for-purpose underground machines. In January 2023, Normet led the investment for Lekatech, startup which aims to revolutionize different end products in the mining and construction industries.
