GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company, has announced the successful completion of the acquisition of Katzion, an engineering firm specializing in applications for the automotive industry. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.

  • Founded in 2017 in Sydney, Australia, Katzion has rapidly grown into a leading provider of specialized services for the automotive industry, with a strong focus on technology solutions in CRM consulting, digitization, automation, and connected systems.
  • This strategic agreement will allow GlobalLogic to expand its capabilities in the mobility sector and strengthen its presence in Australia/Asia Pacific, Spain, and the Middle East. Furthermore, Katzion will enable GlobalLogic to offer new service lines, focusing on direct customers and helping automotive companies prioritize customer engagement throughout the entire vehicle lifecycle.
  • Under the agreement, Katzion will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of GlobalLogic, continuing to operate with its existing management and staff. The terms of the transaction remain confidential.
  • The U.S. company GlobalLogic was acquired by Hitachi in March, 2021 for $9.6 billion. The company has big offices in Poland, Ukraine, Croatia, Germany, Slovakia, and Romania. Last year, GlobalLogic acquired Fortech, a software engineering services company based in Romania.
