The Vilnius-based advanced swarm drone detection company Unmanned Defense Systems (UDS) has secured €3.2 million to scale UAVs and advance AI-based swarm integrations with contemporary battlefield management systems. The funding was led by Coinvest Capital, according to Tech.eu.
About Unmanned Defense Systems
- Founde in 2024, Unmanned Defense Systems researches, develops, designs and manufactures tactical military UAS systems based on an advanced modular complex. Its drones ranges from reconnaissance drones Partisan to loitering munition and FPV drones.
- The company has already won multiple defence procurement tenders and supplies its solutions to the Lithuanian and Ukrainian armed forces, other EU members, and NATO allies.

Investment details
- The Lithuanian venture capital firm Coinvest Capital is the lead investor, financing a portion of the round worth €900,000.
- A group of business angels and one angel syndicate of 41 private investors acted as co-investors. The group includes members of the Lithuanian Business Angel Network, including Vladas Lašas, Rita Sakus, Martynas Kandzeras, and Gytenis Galkis, also Giedrimas Jeglinskas, Šarūnas Račkauskas, Paulius Vilemas, and Linas Sargautis.
- An additional €500,000 is reserved for international investors with dual-use sector expertise, and it will be closed within the next few months.
- The startup also announced Vytenis J. Buzas and Ernestas Kalabuckas in its team as Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer, respectively.
Investments will be used to continue the development of swarm technology and accelerate advancements in drone autonomy and inter-drone coordination.
