Ukrainian miltech startup Rcam, which develops a smart surveillance camera, received $25,000 of investment from from Brave 1. Yaroslav Parkhisenko, CEO of the startup, told AIN the details of the deal.
- Rcam's team is working on improving the recognition of objects based on artificial intelligence to automate the work of protecting objects, borders, and boundaries.
- Rcam is a portable, autonomous and WB-protected video surveillance camera that automatically records the movement of the enemy and its coordinates. Thanks to the built-in artificial intelligence, the camera independently tracks moving objects at a distance of up to 1 km during the day and 400 m at night.
- The product is already undergoing successful trials in military units, which helps the team to rapidly improve the product.
- In addition to military applications, the Rcam camera can be used in the civilian sphere, in particular for the protection of various objects, such as quarries, warehouses, agricultural lands and private property.
Before the current financing, the startup had already attracted $35,000 in the USF DualUse program funds, as well as $10,000 in private funding.
According to Yaroslav, the fresh funding will allow the team to complete the research phase and proceed to mass production of the camera. The start of serial production is expected in the fall of 2024.
