Polish provider of backup & disaster recovery software Xopero Software has secured over $5 million in funding led by Warsaw Equity Group. The funding should help the company expand into the global market and strengthen its current position.

- Founded in 2009, Xopero Software is a leading European provider of backup & Disaster Recovery software for physical, virtual, and SaaS environments. Its portfolio consists also of backup appliances and the scalable MSP platform.

Investment details
Warsaw Equity Group provided the majority of the $5 million financing. Warsaw Equity Group is an independent Warsaw-based private equity firm focused on market investments between €4 million to €15 million, targeting companies offering innovative B2B solutions in the High-Tech/Industry 4.0 and ClimateTech space. In August 2024, the firm made its most recent investment in Up Catalyst, an Estonian cleantech startup.

- The round was also joined by private investors Maciej Zawadzinski and Pawel Maj.
- The participants of the deal also stated that the funding could be further extended to $7,5 million.
According to the announcement, Xopero Software's representatives say that they have very ambitious plans. They believe that the money raised will help them to “strengthen their position as a #1 leader in DevOps data backup software with GitProtect.io and become the default backup solution”.
This fresh investment will help Xopero develop its products and reach the global market with its cutting-edge products.
