Czech-based VC fund Soulmates Ventures has announced a £1.25 million investment in Twin Science, an edtech pioneer to accelerate global expansion of innovative STEM Education. The fund shared the details to AIN.
About Twin Science & Robotics
-
Founded in 2017, Twin Science & Robotics is a pioneering UK-based education company focused on delivering effective STEM education with an emphasis on sustainability.
-
From their own experience within a non-profit organisation, Young Guru Academy, the co-founders felt disappointed by the classical education system, so they decided to change it. Now, they are a top-notch team with extensive and diverse experience, ready to transform education.
-
According to the company, it has equipped more than 1.5 million students from 4,000 primary schools across 40 countries with the technology skills they need to succeed in the job market, while supporting responsible decision-making.

The details of the deal
-
The £1.25 million investment round was led by Soulmates Ventures, a Czech accelerator of sustainable innovations and a venture capital investment company. Recently, Soulmates Ventures also participated in a €3 million round for Romanian energy tech startup Ogre.ai.
-
The current investment round also included APY Ventures, some undisclosed existing investors and prominent angel investors.
“STEM education in practice means that students are not just passive recipients of information; they actively engage in projects that link theory to real-world problems. This approach allows them to acquire technical knowledge while also understanding the broader context and developing various skills,” explains Hynek Sochor, Founder and Managing Partner of Soulmates Ventures.
-
Currently, Twin Science & Robotics collaborates with leading institutions like UCL and Imperial College to develop products for students. Through the collaboration, they aim to provide accessible education for all children worldwide, with strategic partnerships with global companies like Intel, Rolls-Royce, Google, and Ford.
-
As the company states, it achieves 100% year-on-year growth, generates positive EBITDA, and is expected to surpass a turnover of £4.1 million this year.
The new funding round aims to support the company's international expansion, enhance its global operations, and strengthen Twin Science's US position.
