German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems has announced the completion of an additional Series B financing round, bringing the total amount of funding for the series to over €100 million. The company posted the news on its website.

  • Quantum-Systems is an international company founded in 2015 and headquartered at the Oberpfaffenhofen Special Airport (20 km west of Munich) with offices in the US, Australia and Ukraine. Today, it operates as a dual-use company with around 250 employees in three locations for the civil and public sectors.

  • In Q4 2024, the company secured first €63.6 million in the Series B round aiming to build R&D center in Ukraine.

  • This spring, Quantum-Systems began manufacturing Vector reconnaissance drones in Ukraine and is already producing them for the Defence Forces. So far, these drones are assembled from off-the-shelf kits from Germany, but their production is gradually being localised.

Quantum Systems states that the latest funding comes from Notion Capital, a VC firm focused on European SaaS and Cloud, and Porsche Automobil Holding SE.

“With the support of our new investors - Porsche SE and Notion - we are not just raising funds, we are building partnerships that will drive the innovation needed for Europe's technological sovereignty, security and sustainability,” said Florian Seibel, CEO and co-founder of the German manufacturer.

The investment will help the company to “accelerate internationalisation efforts and fund further innovation”. This means expanding production capacity and investing in research and development with a focus on software and artificial intelligence.
