SilentBerry, a Helsinki-based decentralized publishing platform, has secured an investment round from the CKB Eco Fund to enhance its innovative blockchain ecosystem integration approach. The investment amount was not disclosed, ArcticStartup reports.

About SilentBerry

  • SilentBerry, a platform founded in 2021, allows authors to inscribe their books onto the Bitcoin blockchain, converting ownership and revenue rights into digital assets like Gold, Silver, Copper Berries, and Blueberries. These assets can be purchased using BTC, ETH, or CKB.

  • The platform planned to launch Saving Democracy, a book by Qin Hui, on January 3, 2025, coinciding with the 16th anniversary of bitcoin. The content will be inscribed on the Bitcoin main network, and related digital assets will be issued via the RGB++ protocol.

Investment details

The strategic investment was led by CKB Eco Fund, which supports projects connecting CKB and the Bitcoin ecosystem. In January 2024, the fund launched BTCKB, which improves integration through shared PoW consensus and the UTXO model, and introduces smart contract capabilities.

This development underscores the potential of blockchain solutions to transform traditional industries and advance the creative economy based on blockchain technology. The new funding will expand the platform's capabilities, support cross-chain interoperability, and incentivize early investors and readers to participate in the distribution of royalties.
