Samsung has unveiled its new flagship Galaxy S25 smartphone line, the main feature of which is an improved processor and enhanced Galaxy AI capabilities. The line is represented by three models - S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra - just like the previous flagship models.

Focus on Galaxy AI

The company continued to emphasize artificial intelligence in its products, adding more features compared to the previous series.

  • The main innovation was the integration of multimodal AI agents that turn the phone into a digital personal assistant.
  • For example, the user can ask the phone to find the schedule of their favorite soccer team and add it to the calendar, find a photo in the gallery taken during their last vacation, or change the display font size in the settings.
  • Samsung claims that the system not only works with Google's own services and applications, but also supports integration with third-party applications such as Spotify and WhatsApp.
  • Other features of the new smartphones include the Knox Vault security system, which guarantees the security of personal data even in the era of quantum computing.

AI functions are mainly handled by Google Gemini, but there are also some capabilities developed by Samsung itself on the device. The company calls this approach "hybrid AI". The new smartphones run Android 15 with Samsung's own One UI 7 skin.

All Galaxy S25 devices will have free access to the Gemini Advanced subscription and 2TB of cloud storage for six months.

In addition, Samsung promises seven generations of OS updates and seven years of security updates for the Galaxy S25 series.

Next generation chip

To support artificial intelligence features, Samsung has partnered with Qualcomm to develop a dedicated processor. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy is exclusive to Samsung, and the South Korean giant claims it is the fastest processor ever in Galaxy devices.

What we know about the new Galaxy S25 smartphones

The star of the event was the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, which received significant updates, including a new 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera (instead of 12MP in the previous model) and the innovative Virtual Aperture function for perfect photos. The new product has rounded corners instead of the sharper shapes of previous generations.

The Galaxy S25 is traditionally the most compact of the series. It has a 6.2-inch display. The Galaxy S25+ model has a larger screen - 6.7 inches, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra - 6.9 inches.
