The Ukrainian startup Pix, which manufactures backpacks of the same name, has brought to Kickstarter a version of the product for children – Pix Mini. During the first day, it collected more than $ 20,000 from about 130 backers, having exceeded the initial goal of $ 15,000.

The new Pix Mini does not differ much from the first backpack of the startup. It also has an ambient screen on the front side, on which custom images and animations in the pixel graphics style can be displayed. This backpack is smaller than its predecessor: its height is about 42 centimeters with a volume of 15 liters.

Pix Mini is designed for students. The startup team has no doubt that the backpack will help the child to show his creativity, socialize, and be more protected – for example, while riding a bike.

As explained by the project CEO Margaret Rimek, the team came up with the idea of launching a product for children back in December. In January, it gained a concept and was completely ready by the end of May: “We have decided to create such a version of the backpack, after receiving numerous requests from the Pix followers to make a more compact version for children.”

Among other peculiarities of the Pix Mini there is resistance to minor damage and moisture. The price of a backpack on Kickstarter is $89. A set of two retails for $169, a set of four – $312.
