The World Economic Forum released The Global Competitiveness Report 2019, which assesses the competitiveness of 141 countries worldwide. This year, Ukraine ranked 85th, having dropped 2 positions since last year. The information about the study was reported by Liga.net.
- The rating analyzes more than 100 indicators of the country in several categories.
- Compared to last year, Ukraine has improved its results in terms of skills of the population (from 46th to 44th position) and remained at the same level concerning the market size and infrastructure development. These are the best indicators of the country.
- Among the worst indicators are a financial system (136th), macroeconomic stability (133rd), and state institutions (104th).
- The ranking topped by Singapore, USA, Hong Kong, Netherlands, and Switzerland. The list ends by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Yemen, and Chad.
