Kharkiv IT cluster published Kharkiv IT Research conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers and IRS-group. About 7,800 Kharkiv IT specialists and 30 companies participated in the research.
According to the research, in Kharkiv, there are almost 500 product and service tech companies, and the number of IT specialists exceeds 31,000 people.
The industry in the region has grown by 24% compared to last year. And in terms of money, it was evaluated at $962 million in 2018 (compared to 2017, this figure increased by 20%).
The main clients of Kharkiv IT businesses are companies from the USA and Europe.
The median income of IT specialists in Kharkiv is about $2,025, which is 6 times higher than the median income in the region.
In 2018, Kharkiv IT companies paid 6.4 billion UAH of taxes (last year, this figure was 5 billion UAH). 45% of these taxes went to the city treasurer. According to projections, under favorable conditions for the industry, these tax revenues will triple by 2025.
