Ukrainian startup Meredot, which develops wireless charging technology, has raised pre-seed funding from Overkill. The amount is not disclosed, but usually, the fund invests up to €220,000, and Meredot’s valuation was €1.33 million. Roman Bysko, a founder of the project, reported it to AIN.UA.

During the period of work with the fund, we came to a fundamentally new product, which helped us to find the first customers.

Previously, Meredot created a “smart outlet” and also optimized existing wireless charging capabilities. Now, the company has found a niche in the field of electric scooter sharing and is developing a wireless docking station. It is called the critical and essential part of this infrastructure. Meredot is now making deals in Europe and the USA.

Overkill Ventures is a venture fund and acceleration program for pre-seed and seed projects. Besides investments, it helps projects to find European customers and establish contacts with partners. Previously, Ukrainian startup Axdraft attracted investments from Overkill.

Prior to Overkill’s investment, Meredot received angel investment from the CYFRD fund. This fund invests from $20,000 to $100,000. Meredot also raised a €50k grant from the European Commission in the first phase of the Horizon 2020 SME program.
