Ukrainian startup Go To-U has entered the Techstars accelerator under the program Smart Mobility Accelerator. It takes place in Turin.
Go To-U creates a marketplace that connects businesses that own charging stations and electric car drivers. Currently, it has more than 60,000 charging stations worldwide. Users can book the charger as well as plan their route and enjoy other bonuses.
Under the terms of the participation, Go To-U receives a $100,000 investment from Techstars in exchange for a 3% stake. Another 6% of common stock is the fee for participating in the program. The team will spend the next three months in Turin. The demo day is scheduled for April 23.
As Nazar Shymone-Davyda, co-founder of the project, told AIN.UA in his comment, this is the first time when Go To-U shares a stake with an investor. The company is valued at $3 million.
In my opinion, this is a low value for our startup, but we are interested in participating in the program with such name and support. After the three-month program, we at least plan to triple the value of the company and prepare for Series A funding round.
Earlier, AIN.UA reported that Go To-U received a grant from Volkswagen, and was also included in the list of the best “green” startups.
