Dealroom platform shows the map of Ukraine’s technological ecosystem. Partners of the initiative is a group of investment firms headed by ICU. AIN.UA, AIN.Capital and Molfar became the data partners of Dealroom.
The Map
The map has information about more than 900 Ukrainian startups and companies, their investors, investment amounts, number of employees, and much more. You can check out the map here.
Dealroom
Dealroom is a platform created in 2013 in Amsterdam that collects information about startups and investors in one place. Besides, there are separate sections for rounds and exits, as well as non-technological, but infrastructure ‘ecosystem’ companies, such as universities, service companies, and coworking spaces.
The product of Dealroom allows entrepreneurs to find the most suitable investors, and investors can find the most promising companies. Also, the platform’s data is used by public officials and journalists. Thus, reports, based on data from Dealroom, are published by Economist, Financial Times, BBC, The New York Times, and The Washington Post.
The platform cooperates with local market players to get the maximum amount of reliable data and create an ecosystem map similar to the Ukrainian one. Previously, Dealroom already had 7 maps: the cities of Berlin, Amsterdam, and Rome, and the countries of Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, and Lithuania.
My startup is not there, how do I add it
If your startup is not in the list or the information about it is incorrect – please, offer your edits on the Dealroom website. The map will be updated regularly.
More details and resources about Ukraine’s ecosystem
There already have been projects that describe the country’s IT ecosystem, such as the following:
- Dealbook — AVenture Capital together with UVCA. The most recent report is here. 75% of $544 million invested in 2019 was raised by three companies – GitLab, Grammarly, and People.ai.
- Report of UNIT.City — review by UNIT.City innovation park that bears the same name. You can read it here, and here you can check out our compilation of 40 companies that, for some reason, have not been included in the report.
