Polish game streaming company RemoteMyApp has received over $2.2 million from Deutsche Telekom’s strategic investment fund – Telekom Innovation Pool GmbH, writes cyfrowa.pl.
RemoteMyApp was founded in 2014 by Rafał Krochmal and Radosław Zawartko. It provides cloud gaming technology and gaming content for business partners around the globe.
The company has its own cloud gaming service Vortex, that has become one of the most popular platforms in the world. According to the information from the Vortex’s webpage, its dedicated applications have been downloaded more than 10 million times across a variety of platforms.
Deutsche Telekom is the third and minority shareholder in RemoteMyApp. Both companies are currently working together on a beta version of Deutsche Telekom’s own cloud gaming platform based on the technology, game content, and ecosystem experience provided by the polish company.
The majority shareholders in RemoteMyApp have been Polish investment funds: VC fund and a venture builder Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder, since 2014, and a Central European tech investment fund MCI Capital, since 2016.
