Playvation, a Helsinki-based startup, focusing on digital language learning solutions, has raised $829K funding in a seed round led by Sparkmind.vc. Playvation has raised a total of $1.7 million since its inception in 2015.
Founded in 2015 by the CEO Anu Guttorm, Playvation provides a story-based digital language learning service for children aged between three and ten years through its online platform Moomin Language School. Moomin Language School supports language learning in 27 international markets and has over 20k active users on its platform.
The startup plans to use the funds for scaling the international growth of its core product, Moomin Language School. Also, they want to expand its position in key Asian and European markets and to strengthen the global sales and marketing team.
