In early October 2020, Salesforce officially completed the acquisition of the Canadian Mobify. In 2016, the Canadian company acquired the Ukrainian startup Jeapie, which was previously invested by Digital Future, as reported to AIN.UA by the press service of Digital Future.

Back story

Jeapie is a Ukrainian startup, which worked on the service of mobile push notifications: we told its detailed story earlier. In November 2014, the startup raised $50,000 from the investment company Digital Future.

In November 2015, the startup was acquired by a Canadian company Mobify, which provides mobile e-commerce solutions for retailers in North America, the UK, Japan, and other countries.

According to Digital Future, at the time of the acquisition, the investment company received a return in Mobify shares (which is not a complete exit).

Exit in 2020

On October 1, 2020, Salesforce officially closed the acquisition of Mobify. The latter will provide Salesforce Commerce Cloud with a modern storefront solution that will allow brands to customize their commerce experiences faster and more frequently and deliver an enhanced shopping experience across any channel.

This time Digital Future will exit the deal after receiving the money: SalesForce will pay for Mobify shares to the investment company. Thus, Digital Future will make the final exit from the startup, in which it invested back in late 2014.

According to Oleksii Vitchenko, founder of Digital Future, thanks to the sale of the Jeapie startup to Mobify, his company received its first shares only a year after the beginning of investment activity.

The parties have not disclosed the terms of the deal.
