As reported by der brutkasten, Linz-based startup Newsadoo has raised €2.2 million from existing investors Raiffeisen Innovation Invest, FFG, and aws.
Founded in 2017, Newsadoo personalizes readers news with the goal to create “personal digital daily newspaper”. The app collects news and articles from newspapers, radio broadcasts, TV stations and online portals and uses AI to create a news feed with content interesting to the reader, combining news from different sources but about the same topic into “bundles”.
“We are focused on technological development and product experience now. Last week we launched a new version and are continuously improving the system from sprint to sprint. We will use the capital for the further steps in our growth plan, with the aim of becoming the technologically leading and most widely used European news application,” the founder of Newsadoo David Böhm commented on the investment.
The startup is currently offering a basic version for free and planning to add premium offers with prices depending on the source.
