NXRT has secured €1.5 million from the Austrian full-service railway engineering provider Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group, der brutkasten writes.
Founded in 2019 by Martin Wagner, Lukas Stranger, Alexis Kopciak, and Patrick Kolar, NXRT is a spatial computing company that creates XR simulations for the automotive industry, the engineering sector, and for professional driver training.
Currently, NXRT develops AI-based software called MISHBILD places the real environment in a virtual one, which users can see through VR glasses. This solution enables the actual vehicles to be used as simulators, and further virtual training in rail technology can be carried out directly on the object without any needs to build realistic vehicle simulators.
The startup has already acquired several large customers from the automotive and rail industry, aviation, and traffic safety. The current investor Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group, the railway technology company, is one of them. With the raised fundings NXRT wants to make simulation and virtual reality more understandable and accessible to people, as well as to develop its technological solutions globally, the co-CEO Stranger said.
