StreamHERO, a Ukrainian live streaming service, raised a $550,000 pre-seed round led by Adventures Lab, including the participation of Admitad and a group of business angels. The news was reported to AIN.UA by Adventures Lab.
About the project
StreamHERO is a live stream advertising network. Its algorithm integrates non-intrusive banner ads into broadcasts and places call-to-action links into a chat. As noted by Adventures Lab, the service allows you to start advertising to the audiences of hundreds of streamers just in minutes, without wasting time on the search, negotiations, and other processes.
StreamHERO uses computer vision to validate campaigns, get detailed reports, and analytics on advertising campaigns.
The closed beta version of the service was launched in December 2019 on Twitch. During one year, the service has connected several thousand streamers from all over the world.
Alexander Zavoloka, CEO & co-founder of StreamHERO, has 20 years of experience in the gaming industry, including working for esports nutrition provider Runtime, organizing Epicenter tournaments, and work at Dailymotion. Alexander Burov, who previously worked at Dreamteam, is a co-founder and CPO of the service. The third co-founder of StreamHERO, Nikita Popov, joined the team after working at MGID Inc, a native performance advertising platform.
“StreamHero is a Google Adsense for esports streamers, which connects major advertisers with non-professional streamers, thus developing an untapped market to a profit to over $350 million a year,” commented on the deal Andrew Kryvorchuk, Managing Partner of Adventures Lab.
Details of the deal
Besides Adventures Lab and Admitad, the angel investors Vlad Panchenko (co-founder of DMarket), Marat Kichikov (Managing Partner of Bitfury Capital), and Alexander Kokhanovsky (founder of Natus Vincere, ESforce Holding, and DMarket) participated in the round.
The team will spend funds to improve the ad display algorithm, develop monetization tools for streamers, and enhance analytics.
“In 2021, our focus will shift to scaling up our business model through integration into advertising networks and exchanges,” said the startup CEO.
