Brainly-1
Co-founder and CEO Michał Borkowski

Founded in 2009 by CEO Michał Borkowski, Lukasz Haluch, and Tomasz Kraus, Brainly develops online education technology platforms for virtual learning, where students and their parents engage with each other, as well as with teachers and experts, for advice and help with homework questions.

Since the pandemic began, the startup’s user base has increased by more than 75%. In 2020 the platform was used by 350 million people from more than 35 countries, including 30 million from the USA, compared to 150 million in 2019.

The fresh capital will be allocated into further building out the tools for students, but also for parents, as they started using the platform more with the pandemic. Brainly is also planning to expand its presence in Indonesia and Brazil.
