Polish startup Dr. PetCare has secured more than $500,000 from the Warsaw-based Arkley Brinc VC, MamStartup reports.

Founded by entrepreneurs Mariusz Wojciechowski and Agata Kapturzak, Dr. PetCare is planning to launch its own brand full of vitamins nutritional products for animals at the beginning of 2021. It will operate based on the subscription model via online and offline channels. According to the startup, it is a perfect moment to create an e-commerce pet food service, as the pandemic has moved the customers’ shopping habits towards online.

Dr. PetCare has already successfully completed the negotiations with major distributors, making the subscription to be available directly through the company’s online store, selected pet stores, and veterinary clinics. The fresh capital will allow the startup to start selling in the first quarter of 2021. 

Arkley Brinc VC provides venture capital for early-stage startups throughout Europe, with a focus on deeptech sector. Its support of Dr. PetCare is the first investment in pet / foodtech.
