Cloud automation startup Spacelift has closed a $6 million Series A round of funding led by London’s Blossom Capital. Previous investors Inovo Venture Partners and Hoxton Ventures also participated, TechCrunch writes.
Founded by CEO Marcin Wyszynski and COO Pawel Hytry Spacelift helps global companies primarily in the US, where its headquarter is, and in the UK, to manage servers in the cloud, relying on the infrastructure-as-code (IaC) model. Its solution allows developers to build, develop and test applications in the cloud in a safe mode.
“The switch to using cloud servers and infrastructure as code has benefits for businesses but it has created new challenges for teams, particularly when they are distributed. The slightest mistake can cause major outages and downtime which is obviously bad for business. We designed Spacelift to minimize these issues, by providing automation, control, and visibility tools to teams wherever they are,” Wyszynski told.
As reported by MamStartup, Spacelift is planning to spend the proceeds on expanding the existing team and accelerating product development, as well as creating a new team responsible for marketing and sales in the USA.
