Finland-based startup Workfellow that develops an AI-powered task mining software that identifies company-wide manual business activities, and recommends digital solutions, has announced the completion of a $3 million Series A round, ArcticStartup reports.

  • Workfellow launched its data-driven platform in 2019. It automatically analyzes knowledge work operations and identifies inefficiencies in systems, processes, tools, and ways of working. The platform then recommends the best actions to optimize business operations and systems.

“Our tool provides the first solution on the market that goes beyond processes to inform how teams are using technology and how it impacts their teamwork. Workfellow provides a rich, data-led view with insights to identify where the benefits of technology best amplify the unique capabilities only offered by human workers,” Kustaa Kivelä, CEO and co-founder of Workfellow, tells ArcticStartup.

  • The investment round was led by OpenOcean, an early-stage venture capital firm investing across Europe with offices in London, Helsinki, and Amsterdam. Icebreaker, an existing investor, who led the previous pre-seed round, also participated.
  • The proceeds will support Workfellow’s growth by developing its product and commercial operation.
