Raison, an Estonian late venture investment marketplace, has raised $900,000 during a seed round. The company is now valued at $11.5 million. Server Partners led the round, The Baltic Times reports.
- Founded in 2017 by Alexander Zaytsev, Andrey Berezin, and Andrey Kononykhin, Raison offers top-tier late venture investment deals starting from €1. The company opens the opportunity for retail investors to invest in the biggest private companies, such as Klarna and SpaceX, by creating a legal structure with the help of blockchain.
- In 2021, the platform added ten new deals and increased its user base by more than three times, exceeding 17,000 users globally. Raison marketplace has a yearly turnover of about $1 million.
- Several investments on the platform have already brought profits to the users. For example, pre-IPO investment in Airbnb has provided a 35% return, while DigitalOcean units increased by 17% in six months after a successful IPO.
- In late 2020, the startup has closed a $150,000 pre-seed round from an angel investor.
- This time the leading investor is Server Partners, a family office founded in 2016. It invests in growing trends, like space technologies and asset tokenization.
“Our mission is to make late-stage venture investments accessible for small retail investors. The seed funding will help us expand the marketplace, grow our European presence, and discover new markets,” Raison founder and CEO, Alex Zaytsev, talks about future plans.
