The Polish insurtech startup Quantee has secured a €650,000 (3 million złotych) seed funding round. Nunatak Capital led the round together with FundingBox Deep Tech Fund, MamStartup informs.

  • Founded in 2018 by Dawid Kopczyk and Mateusz Gintrowski, Quantee offers the ActuAI platform that automates and enhances actuarial programming for the insurance sector. The solution enables insurance companies to build and manage dynamic and competitive insurance pricing.
  • Nunatak Capital, a lead investor, and FundingBox Deep Tech Fund are both Warsaw-based funds. Nunatak Capital is a venture capital focusing on emerging growth startups in the CEE region. Earlier, the fund invested in the Polish startups Mindgram, Livekid, and Pergamin.

“We decided to invest in Quantee because we see a unique opportunity to build value through the use of advanced analytics for dynamic insurance pricing,”

Piotr Ciżkowicz from Nunatak Capital comments on the financing.
  • In February 2021, Quantee received a €1 million grant from the National Centre for Research and Development.
  • The fresh funds will allow for further development of Quantee’s software. The startup also wants to expand into the British and Spanish markets.
