Bob W, a Helsinki-based rental platform, has acquired its Estonian competitor — Estonishing Stay. The companies do not disclose the amount of the deal. The acquisition means Bob W has tripled its coverage in Estonia, EU-Startups reports.

  • Founded in 2018 by Niko Karstikko and Sebastian Emberger, Bob W develops a platform offering short-stay accommodation tailored for a modern traveler. The startup claims to blend the quality of a hotel with the authenticity and affordability of a short stay rental.
  • The service is available in Estonia, Finland, Spain, and the UK, expanding to Germany and the Netherlands. The company has more than 1,200 signed apartments in 15 European cities that can potentially bring €37 million of annual revenue.
  • In April 2021, Bob W closed its €10 million seed investment round from 2150 and five other investors. Estonishing Stay is Bob W’s first acquisition, marking its expansion in the Baltics region and beyond.
  • Estonishing Stay was founded in 2019 by real estate experts Gerdi Arst and Evelin Org. It is the biggest short-stay serviced apartment operator in Estonia.

“We’re pleased to join forces with Bob W since we share the vision for a new category of hospitality. We’re looking forward to working together to expand our real estate network regionally with new real estate investors,”

Gerdi Arst comments on the deal.
