Grupa Pracuj, the leading Warsaw-based HR tech company, has acquired German HR software management firm softgarden for €118 million. This is the largest foreign acquisition by a Polish technology company in the DACH region for years.
- The Polish company started in 2000 by Maciej Artur Noga, Paweł Leks, and Przemek Gacek. It is one of the fastest developing technology companies in Central Europe, helping companies with employee recruitment, retainment, and development.
- Grupa Pracuj has over 30,000 clients from 40 countries using its products and services. The company owns recruitment brands like Pracuj.pl and Robota.ua. It also owns a SaaS-platform eRecruiter, the platform Worksmile, and a corporate fund Pracuj Ventures.
- Now, the company has acquired the leading HR Solution in Germany — softgarden, from a global investment manager Investcorp. Softgaden provides features like multiposting, time-tracking, vacation, and absence management. About 1,700 employers use the software, mainly in Germany.
“We see great potential in combining our experience with the know-how accumulated by softgarden. It can bring us many benefits both in the current markets and new regions,”
Rafał Nachyna, Operations Director at Grupa Pracuj, on the deal.
- The acquisition is set to help Grupa Pracuj enter the new German market, with further plans to expand geographically.
In May 2022, Pracuj Ventures fund — Grupa Pracuj subsidiary — invested in the Ukrainian all-in-one HRM solution startup PeopleForce. It was the ninth company in the fund’s portfolio.
