The Espoo-based indoor climate software Freesi has raised a €1.7 million seed investment round from Curiosity VC. The funding will allow Freesi to grow its business internationally.
- Founded in 2017 by Samu Niska and Antti-Jaakko Alanko, Freesi offers software for indoor air quality and climate monitoring, as well as tools to analyze and develop buildings’ indoor conditions.
- Freesi has become one of the leading solution providers within the field in Finland. Currently, Freesi solution is employed in commercial properties, the public sector, as well as construction segments, in over 2 million m² of property surface.
- Curiosity led this private equity round. It is an Amsterdam-based venture capital firm, supporting early-stage startups with diverse teams based in the Benelux, Nordics, and Baltics. Helen Ventures also participated in the round.
“We are thrilled to have such an international interest in our company. I’m confident that our team combined with the expertise and networks from our investor syndicate Helen and Curiosity ensures our international growth and enables Freesi to become the number one solution for property portfolio leaders,”
Samu Niska, Freesi CEO and co-founder, commented on the investment.
- The fresh funding will help the company accelerate its product development and international expansion.
