Unfold.vc has invested over €210,000 in a Polish agritech startup AgronetPRO. The funding will help to develop a system allowing to control crops in large areas with sensors reporting data to mobile devices every two minutes, MamStartup reports.
- Founded in 2008 by Jakub Sitarz, Maciej Jarzebowski, and Mariusz Cieply, Unfold.vc is a venture capital based in Wrocław, Poland. The fund focuses on providing financial support for startups operating in the SaaS model in gaming, bioinformatics, robotics, and recently agritech industries.
- The fund invest in projects at various stages of development. The initial investment in a project usually ranges between €100,000 to €200,000. It also participates in subsequent investment rounds with a maximum commitment to date of over €1 million.
“AgronetPRO‘s innovative, scalable solution quickly gains recognition because it responds to the needs of fruit and vegetable producers. Due to the growing climatic requirements crop management is at risk. This creates a niche for AgronetPRO with its technology to automate the control of crops, including water and fertilizer use,”
Rafał Sobczak, managing partner at Unfold.vc, comments on the investment.
- In May 2022, Unfold.vc also led the €200,000 funding round for the Poland-based gaming startup Pixel Perfect Dude. According to Crunchbase, the fund has made a total of 27 investments and one successful exit.
- The fresh funding will help with the development of the AgronetPRO’s integrated system, as well as with the sales increasing.
