Estonian startup festival sTARTUp Day 2022 has announced the winners of its Pitching competition. This year, organizers received the record number of 380 applications from early-stage startups from 47 countries, and chose 40 teams to participate in the final pitching stage.
The winners are the following:
- LightCode Photonics received €200,000 from EstBAN and €7,500 from Sorainen
- The startup is building the world’s first software-defined 3D camera for robots to see the world and navigate safely.
- Nanordica Medical secured €150,000 from EstBAN and €7,500 from Sorainen
- Nanordica is developing advanced antibacterial wound care products to avoid infection-related amputations.
- Longenesis was awarded €100,000 by .Cocoon Ventures.
- The company helps healthcare and life sciences companies make better use of their data to accelerate research, as well as engage patients.
- äio Tech got €10,000 equity-free cash from Swedbank and €7,500 from Sorainen
- äio Tech designs microbes for sustainable production of healthy food and feed ingredients.
- Rexplorer received €20,000 from Greenergy Data Centers
- Rexplorer is a platform for exploration, planning, generation and monitoring of renewable energy.
- Bloomcoding got €3,000 equity-free cash and mentoring from Head of Tele2 Estonia, Chris Robbins
- Bloomcoding aims to build the No.1 online coding school engaging children through VR and AR game development in Europe.
- Better Medicine received €5,000 and legal mentoring from TGS Baltic
- Better Medicine is developing medical imaging AI and software tools to help radiologists fight cancer.
Acorai, Activate Health, and Exponaut were awarded with $5000 in Amazon Web Services credits from Cloudvisor. Ringo got a mentoring package from Tera Ventures.

sTARTUp Day 2022 is a startup-minded business festival in the Baltics, bringing together more than 4000 people to celebrate entrepreneurship in Tartu, Estonia. This year, over 360 startups were pitched to more than a hundred investors. The speaker panel welcomed CEOs and founders of world-renowned companies like Bonzun, Grünfin, SuperBetter, and Vertical Aerospace, as well as the Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas.
