The Tallinn-based job immigration and relocation platform Jobbatical has raised an €11.6 million Series A funding round to make worker migration paperless. Inventure led the round, supported by Union Square Ventures, Swiss Post Ventures, Karma VC, Metaplanet, Devotion Ventures, TechCrunch reports.
- Founded in 2014 by Ankur Agarwal, Karoli and Ronald Hindriks, Jobbatical specializes in workers immigration. Its AI-enabled relocation platform helps companies to save time, cut back on paperwork, and prevent unexpected issues. High-growth tech companies like N26, TravelPerk, and Personio are using the platform.
- The Nordic VC Inventure led the Series A round. The firm has about €230 million of assets to invest in the Nordic and Baltic seed to Series A startups. Its recent investments include the companies Starcart, ONEiO, and Swappie.
- Additional investors included Union Square Ventures, Swiss Post Ventures, Karma VC, as well as Metaplanet, and Devotion Ventures. Angel investors Kristel Kruustük, Indrek Prants, Andres Kull, and former head of Airbnb Experiences Joe Zadeh also participated.
“Within the three years since we pivoted, with just €2 million we have built by far the most scalable product in our industry and we can start a new country on the platform within a day with zero code. That is why with this Series A we are able to expand to thirty new countries in the next 24 months,”
Karoli Hindriks, Co-founder at Jobbatical, talks about the plans.
- Using the fresh funding, the company expects to expand to thirty new countries, and to further build its platform.
