Gdansk-based operational data sharing startup Trusted Twin has raised $1 million in a pre-seed funding. ff Venture Capital led the round aimed at increasing the business across the board, Tech.eu reports.

  • Trusted Twin was launched in 2021 by Jan Wyrwiński, Krzysztof Malicki, Marcin Kowalski, and Michał Szymański. It is a developer platform for secure operational data sharing. The platform uses a series of APIs that allow developers to craft a solution, helping to build a data-sharing layer.
  • The solution is powered by so-called Digital Twins. They are virtual representations of physical objects used for simulation or creation of new services. According to the company, billions of them will live their virtual lives on the Internet, soon.

“Today, digital transformation promises to revolutionize business. However, in reality, few projects reach their full potential. Real-time data sharing is the missing ingredient that is holding many organizations back, and this is the next key trend for the advancement of digital business. Trusted Twin is perfectly positioned to serve this explosion of data needs that business operations are already feeling,”

Maciej Skarul from ff Venture Capital comments on the funding.
  • ff Venture Capital is the lead investor during the $1 million round. It is an early-stage venture firm investing around $700,000 in technology companies. Other funds like Presto VenturesMovens CapitalRKKVC, and Startup Wise Guys, as well as several undisclosed angels also participated.
  • The fresh funding will allow Trusted Twin to ramp up the business across the board. The company is planning to increase its team size and customer base, as well as further develop the data sharing solution.
