The Poland-based Invento Capital fund has received about €1.5 million (7.5 million PLN) in additional funding from BRIdge Alfa NCBR program. Now, the fund manages a total €9 million, allowing further investments in 6 startups, MamStartup reports.

  • Founded in 2017, Invento Capital is venture capital based in Katowice, Poland. The fund is looking for impact projects and startups in the IT, deeptech, health, food, and cleantech industries. Over the last three years, the fund has made 26 investments.
  • In September 2022, the fund backed the Estonian-Polish cybersecurity startup Fully-Verified, together with Pomerangels VC and several angels. Its previous portfolio also includes Planet Heroes, Gridaly, Zjedz.my, and Waven, Qvistorp, as well as Foodrunners.
  • The BRIdge Alfa program, from National Centre for Research and Development, also co-financed by the European Union, helps entrepreneurs during seed stages. Through this program, the NCBR has provided investors with non-returnable support, helping other funds invest up to €200,000 at 20%.

“We are glad that we were the first to receive funds from the additional BRIdge Alfa pool. It shows that we are at the forefront of seed funds in Poland. By the end of this year, we plan to invest in 9 more startups. 6 projects are going to be financed by this additional pool of funds,”

Jacek Murawski, President of the Management Board, comments.
  • Thanks to fresh funds, Invento Capital will make further investments in such industries as energy, medicine, chemistry, and new materials, IT, as well as ICT. The fund expects its first exits in 3 to 5 years.
