The Polish healthtech startup Wellbee has secured a €730,000 (3.5 million PLN) funding from WP2 Investments. The company provides a mental health platform that connects patients with specialists, MamStartup reports.
- Founded in 2020 by Paweł Chrzan, Grzegorz Skuza, and Dariusz Milewski, Wellbee develops a mental health platform. It facilitates access to online psychotherapy by matching specialists to clients’ needs. So far, several thousand individual clients and over 60 business clients use the platform, including such international corporations as PwC, EY, Canon, Brenntag, and EPAM.
“We are developing faster and faster, and in many ways, expanding our offer to various businesses. We’re happy that companies recognize employee’s mental support as not a cost, but an investment, quickly paying off. Such important support should not be treated as a “benefit” but something that every employee is entitled to,”
Dariusz Milewski, co-founder and CEO of Wellbee, comments.
- WP2 Investments added the healthtech startup to its portfolio. It a Polish pre-seed to Series A fund providing capital and strategic support. The fund focuses on such industries like fintech, biotech, e-commerce, and digitization.
- In September 2020, Wellbee raised its first capital to help with the launch of its platform. Back then, the startup secured over $250,000 from Tar Heel Capital Pathfinder, a Polish venture capital fund.
- The fresh funding will allow the company to further develop its platform. Also, the company is planning to expand into foreign markets over the next few months.
