The Kyiv Digital app is now available to the city’s English-speaking residents and visitors, as well as users from all over the world. As the Kyiv City State Administration emphasized, developers has localized the app to make foreigners feel safer in wartime conditions.
“Foreigners can now use the app’s main services. They can log in to Kyiv Digital with a non-Ukrainian phone number, and Kyiv Digital supports all mobile operators’ codes (except Russian ones),”
the Kyiv City State Administration says.
- Kyiv Digital app was originally launched in January 2021 as a smartphone app to allow local residents in Kyiv to pay utility bills and parking tickets. Currently, the app has more than 1.5 million users.
- Kyiv Digital app services include parking and public transport tickets, travel card top-up, tickets for Ukrzaliznytsia trains. It also shows the metro map, important contact numbers, and funds to support Ukraine.
- Since the war in Ukraine has started, the Kyiv Digital app was transformed into “life-saving tool” and the new features were added. In particular, Kyiv Digital app now reports air raid alerts and provide information on where to find the nearest bomb shelter, working pharmacies, petrol stations as well. All of them are also available in English version.
