Czech technology company Daktela has acquired a majority stake in the Brno-based startup Coworkers.ai, intelligent chatbots and voicebots developer. The exact amount of the deal is not disclosed, but it is known that the transaction costs millions of dollars.

  • Coworkers.ai was founded in 2019 by Tomas Lysek, Lubos Urbancok, and Pavel Cerny as a part of the ARTIN company. The startup’s solution automates routine communication using conversational AI.

“Thanks to this, our voicebots and chatbots are significantly ‘smarter’ than others and can solve even more complex requests. At the same time, we are a low-code platform, which means that practically anyone can handle the implementation in the company even without programming knowledge,”

Coworkers.ai co-founder Lubos Urbancok said.
  • Founded in 2005 in Prague, Daktela is a global technology company that offers customers in-house communications software and cloud solutions for contact centers. It currently serves more than 1,000 corporate customers, and has offices in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, the United Kingdom, Dubai, and the Philippines.
  • Daktela acquired a 51% share of Coworkers.ai. The cost of the transaction is in the order of millions of dollars, the companies said.
  • The current management of Coworkers.ai will continue to take care of the further development and expansion of the company, and the headquarters of the startup will remain in Brno. At the same time, the deal will allow Daktela to build a development hub in Brno and recruit talented programmers.
