Ukrainian hackers managed to gain access to the networks of the Central Bank of Russian Federation. The Ukrainian IT Army informs that their cyber specialists received the source files, the principles of their interaction, CPI systems, and other materials. The specialists released some first 27,000 files to the public.
“Thanks to the department of information technologies and the department of financial market operations of the “unbank”, we have a lot of interesting information about personnel, specialized automated banking systems, their source files, the principles of their interaction, CPI systems, and other materials circulating in the networks of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, which are already analyzed by our specialists,”
the Ukrainian IT army notes.
The IT Army made a 2.5 GB archive containing 27,000 files public. Along with all of its internal documentation and technical documents for projects that the Russian Central Bank was trying to implement.
“If the Central Bank cannot provide its own cyber protection, how can it protect the stability of its currency? We are currently releasing the first 27,000 files to the public for you to review, analyze, draw conclusions, and take action on.”
