The Bucharest-based startup Licenseware that develops app ecosystem of software license management has raised €1 million to expand its software globally. The round was led by Early Game Ventures.
- Launched in 2020 by Alex Cojocaru, Chris Allen, and Ciprian Grigore, Licenseware is an open app ecosystem where users can access a range of third party enterprise apps with competitive licensing fees, underpinned by a public development framework.
- The startup helps companies manage their software costs and licensing risk, reduce development lead times and expenditure. Since launching, Licenseware has released 10 more apps and a public SDK which allows third parties to build and monetize their apps.
- The round was led by one of the most active Romanian VC fund Early Game Ventures that focuses on enterprise technology, consumer technology, hardware & electronics companies with the potential for building infrastructure for new industries in the emerging economies. Fortech Investments, Acequia Capital, Hellen’s Rock, Roca X, Growceanu, Transylvania Angels Network, and Startup Wise Guys also participated.
